How do I apply for a position if I already work at Ahern? (internal candidate)
A: Internal employees should follow these steps when applying for an open position:
- Inform your manager of your interest in the opening.
- Go to www.aherncareers.com to apply on-line for the opening; click on Careers > Job Openings and select the opening of interest.
- Follow the application process and select “Personally Employed by Ahern” in the applicant source drop down; include an updated resume as part of the application process.
- When an internal application is received, Human Resources will contact the employee and his/her current manager to inform them of receipt of the application and about the next steps.
