Project Heat's On 2016

Each year, a number of Ahern technicians participate in Project Heat’s On. The program is organized by the Wisconsin Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 400 Union and serves to assure disabled and/or low income elderly homeowners in Fond du Lac, Brown, Outagamie, and Winnebago counties have safe and efficient heat throughout the winter. The technicians that participated performed preventative maintenance on furnaces and/or boilers, to ensure that they were operating efficiently to keep fuel cost as low as possible. Additionally, volunteers installed carbon monoxide and smoke detectors if none were present and put new batteries in existing detectors. Project Heat’s On is a great example of how dedicated Ahern is to helping those in the community.

The project generated media coverage and was featured on the local news, which can be viewed here.
