Attention Ankeny and Waukee, Iowa Business Owners!

Effective in 2015, both the City of Ankeny and the City of Waukee have implemented a new system to track fire protection system inspections. All completed inspection reports for facilities in those areas must now be submitted electronically to an online portal called The Compliance Engine (www.thecomplianceengine.com), where they will be viewed by the appropriate Fire Marshal.

Any contractor licensed to inspect fire prevention and life safety systems are now required to submit inspection reports within 30 days of the inspection. The Fire Marshal will be able to track all inspections online, when they are due, and if they are compliant or not.  If a facility is non-compliant, the Fire Marshal will be able to see if the deficiencies are being properly addressed.

Ahern Fire Protection customers in these areas will see no difference in their current service – AFP will submit the necessary forms to The Compliance Engine within the allotted time frame. If you have any questions regarding the new procedure, please contact us.
