Q: How do I apply online?
Answer

Each job opening listed on our website has an “Apply Now” button located at the lower left corner of the page. When you click on this button, you will be automatically directed to the application process. Proceed through each page of the application process by clicking “Next Step” after completing each section. You will know you have finished the application process when you receive the following message on your screen:

“Your resume/application has been successfully submitted. J. F. Ahern Co. will be following up with you via e-mail to inform you of your status. Please continue to check your e-mail for additional information.”

Q: How often are job postings updated?
Answer

Updates are made to our job openings page as soon as they become available.

Q: How do I know if a job has been filled?
Answer

As soon as an offer of employment has been accepted, the job opening will be removed from our list.

Q: How do I know if you received the application I submitted online?
Answer

Within an hour of submitting your application, you will receive an auto-generated e-mail notifying you that we have received your application.

Q: What happens to my application after I have submitted it online?
Answer

Your application will be reviewed by the Recruiter assigned to the position you applied for, and he/she will respond to you either by phone or e-mail.

Q: How long after I have submitted my application should I expect a response?
Answer

The amount of time it takes a Recruiter to review resumes varies for each position, but you should expect a response within two weeks.

Q: Can I apply for more than one position at a time?
Answer

No. Our application system can only accept an application for one position at a time. If you are interested in multiple positions, you should apply for each one individually.

Q: I would like to apply, but no current openings interest me. Can I still submit my application?
Answer

No. We accept applications only for our current job openings; however, you may upload your resume via our Future Candidates link to be kept on file by our Human Resources Department.

Q: How long will my application be kept on file?
Answer

Once submitted, your application will remain in our applicant database indefinitely. However, we only consider applicants who have specifically applied for a position. If you are interested in a new position that has opened after you’ve submitted an application, please apply for that position separately.

Q: What should I prepare before I begin my online application?
Answer

You should have an electronic copy of your resume to attach or copy and paste into your application.
