Ahern’s training and development program Ahern Academy offers employees the opportunity to grow their skills through interactive classroom style trainings, industry-specific lunch and learns, and position-specific development opportunities. Ahern has a comprehensive library of online and web-based training courses employees can use to develop skills in their current role and for the next step in their career.
We also encourage employees to learn from one another through formal and informal mentorships, job shadowing, and best practice groups. Each quarter, Ahern’s Management Committee (including the CEO) holds an informal roundtable discussion with new employees to help them understand the core competencies and values of the company, and to share their career stories.
Our commitment to employee development extends to company-paid external trainings, tuition reimbursement, professional organization membership fees, and access to the Ahern Academy library of DVDs, audio and e-books, and leadership materials.
