Green Bay Metropolitan Sewerage District Upgrade

Ahern’s wastewater plant expertise was critical to maintaining operation of the Green Bay Metropolitan Sewerage District’s plant during its RAS/WAS (return activated sludge/waste activated sludge) upgrade. Ahern’s 12-member field team averaged 16 years of experience, and all held industry certifications; its office team averaged 18 years of experience. As the prime contractor, Ahern’s knowledge was effective in project planning and sequencing. Nearly 4,000 linear feet of piping were replaced, along with pumps, clarifiers, mixers, and more. Ahern concluded its work three months ahead of the deadline.
