Ahern Gives Back through "Heat's On"

Ahern recently participated in its fifth year of volunteering for the "Heat's On" program, an event organized by the Mechanical Contractors Association of North Central Wisconsin and Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 400. At no expense to the homeowners, the program ensures the furnaces and fire safety equipment of selected low-income, disabled, or elderly individuals are working properly for the winter. Ahern's team of 12 employees aided Fond du Lac and Kaukauna residents by inspecting and servicing furnaces, replacing fire extinguishers, and ensuring smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were working properly. Ahern's volunteers serviced 30 homes – 37% of total homes covered by Local 400 participants.
