J. F. Ahern Co. Employees Achieve LEED Accreditation
(November 27, 2006): Three employees of J. F. Ahern Co., a Fond du Lac, Wisconsin-based mechanical and fire protection contractor, have received LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council. HVAC Engineering and Business Development Manager Phil Corbin, Project Manager Dave Reinelt, and Design Engineer Tom Wickersham are all certified as LEED Accredited Professionals, which ensures their understanding of green building practices and principles; and familiarity with LEED requirements, resources, and processes.
J. F. Ahern Co. has installed environmentally friendly mechanical systems in several LEED-certified buildings over the past few years. “Ahern is a strong supporter of the ‘green’ building initiative,” said Corbin. “The recent LEED achievements made by our team will allow us to better assist customers through the certification process, by offering the services of accredited LEED professionals and a full-service commissioning team.”
Ahern is currently applying its expertise close to home, seeking LEED certification on its own 58,000 square foot corporate building expansion. The expansion is in progress, and expected to be complete by spring 2007. BACK TO NEWS
