J. F. Ahern Co. Establishes Energy Solutions Department
In response to customer requests and the global focus on energy conservation, mechanical and fire protection contractor J. F. Ahern Co. has established an Energy Solutions Department. The objectives of this Department involve working with existing facility owners to analyze the energy and utility consumption of their buildings and to propose solutions for reducing such consumption. Ahern will be performing audits of these facilities, and working with customers to perform necessary upgrades, repairs, and/or maintenance on the mechanical systems to improve efficiency.
Spearheading the Energy Solutions initiative is Department Manager Steve Rohde. While Rohde is new to Ahern, he brings 22 years of experience in the energy solutions field. He most recently served as Account Executive with Johnson Controls in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and is a graduate of the Milwaukee School of Engineering, where he earned a Mechanical Engineering degree.
