Ahern Earns Elite National Safety Award
Ahern recently received a William H. Feather Safety Award, a nationally recognized safety merit presented by the National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA). This award is given to NUCA members with the best safety records in five categories of total man hours worked. Ahern was chosen from more than 2,500 NUCA members, based on its 2008 injury frequency data and comprehensive safety program.
Safety Director Mike Schultz was presented with the award at NUCA’s 2009 Washington Summit, held in Alexandria, Virginia. "By continually focusing on improving employee safety, we are now in an elite group of the safest contractors in the nation," said Schultz. BACK TO NEWS
