Pfister Hotel

Ahern completed HVAC and pipe fabrication work on the historic Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The project presented many logistical challenges to the Ahern team. We were contracted to install new chillers and a cooling tower while the hotel remained open for business. The mechanical room was located in a low-clearance parking structure. Ahern developed a plan to disassemble the chiller and then reassemble it during installation. The project was successfully finished in just three short months.

Two pre-fabricated spool shipments were delivered to this project; both were delivered on time and passed quality inspections.

Schedule Assurance

Ahern pre-fabricated 45 piping spools for this project, it allowed for the client’s three month deadline to be met and it also reduced noise since the hotel was occupied during installation.

Safety

There were no OSHA recordable events or lost-time injuries during this project.
