As Ahern's Chief Operating Officer of Wisconsin, Grant is responsible for managing and overseeing all of the Wisconsin regions, the Rochester, MN region, the Industrial Fabrication group, as well as the Major Construction group. The Major Construction Group is responsible for bidding and managing long-term, resource-intensive, large project work.
He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree – German Major/Business Concentration from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse in 2007.
Grant joined Ahern in 2011 and held a variety of positions in estimating, sales, and project management prior to becoming a Regional Manager in 2020. He led and oversaw Ahern’s mechanical and fire protection construction and service work in Northeastern, Central, and Western Wisconsin. As a result of Grant’s success and leadership skills, he became Vice President of Northern Wisconsin and a member of the Management Committee in 2021, Executive Vice President of Northern Wisconsin, Rochester, and Industrial Services in 2023, and a shareholder in 2024.
Grant currently serves as the President of the East Central Wisconsin Sheet Metal Contractors' Association, and he also serves on the Local 18 Board of Trustees for Pension Fund and the Local Sheboygan Board of Trustees for Training Funds. He is active in the local community with the St. Cloud Athletic Club and Holyland Civic Center.
