Ahern Receives 2023 BUILD Wisconsin Award For Exceptional Specialty Contracting Work

Fond du Lac, WI. – The Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin (AGC), the most widely respected construction association in the country, has awarded Ahern with a 2023 BUILD Wisconsin award. The esteemed award recognizes Ahern’s specialty contracting work for Labcorp, a leading healthcare diagnostics company that provides a variety of laboratory testing and diagnostic services.

The BUILD Wisconsin Award is a testament to Ahern’s unwavering commitment to excellence. Entries for the award were assessed on four criteria: sustainable practices, craftsmanship, innovation, and meeting difficult challenges.  

The winning project, which aimed to transform 25,000 sq. ft. of office space into a state-of-the-art laboratory testing facility, posed significant challenges due to a tight schedule and budgetary constraints. Ahern’s craftsmanship and innovation were shown through its in-house Virtual Design Construction, specialty trades proficiency, and prefabrication expertise. These critical components ensured efficiency and safety throughout the installation process, leading to the realization of the transformative project.
