Ahern Wins BUILD Wisconsin Award for Alternative Care Facility

Ahern is honored to be a winner of a BUILD Wisconsin Award from the Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin (AGC). AGC annually recognizes projects of distinction in multiple categories for work completed the previous year. The company won in the Specialty Contractor - Plumbing category for work performed on the Alternative Care Facility that was built at the Wisconsin State Fair Park Expo Center.

The facility was built as a precaution to ensure that COVID-19 patients throughout southeastern Wisconsin would receive necessary care should a future surge in cases overwhelm the hospital system. Ahern was brought in as the preferred mechanical contractor for HVAC, plumbing, and med-gas. The project had a 10-day timeline, and Ahern was able to complete the project one day early.
