Fall 2020 Career Fairs Go Virtual

In 2020, all Ahern Internships went on as planned, paving the runway to another exciting year of internships in 2021. This month, we kick off campus recruiting with virtual career fairs to provide career opportunities and real work internships across all of our business units.

Ahern is proud to announce that the company was chosen as the ENR Midwest Specialty Contractor of the Year. Ahern beat out more than 50 entrants to win the award and is being recognized as an outstanding contractor for completing complex healthcare and data center projects.

Now new office, new leadership, and expanded offerings drive growth.

One of the major causes of secondary infections is cross-contamination, which can occur during hospital remodels. Construction activity can release agents that may be trapped behind ceilings and walls, and under floors.

Ahern is proud to announce that the company contributed to 10 of the “Top Projects of 2019,” as chosen by industry publication The Daily Reporter.

Ahern is pleased to announce that Jeff Beechey has transitioned to Mechanical Construction Superintendent with the Menomonie office.

Wyss Joins Ahern’s Menomonie Team

Ahern recently welcomed Construction Sales/Project Manager Lee Wyss to its growing Menomonie team.

Ahern is happy to announce that Ryan Plaski and Jamie Fort have both transitioned to Fire Protection Superintendents with the Menomonie office. Plaski joined Ahern as a fire sprinkler foreman and most recently held the role of senior services sales representative.

 

Beginning as a small steam heat and plumbing retail shop in 1880, J. F. Ahern Co. has since become one of the largest, most respected specialty contractors in the nation.  In November, the Company will be celebrating 140 years.

Ahern continues to top various industry rankings, most recently on ones conducted by Engineering News-Record (ENR). According to ENR Midwest’s latest rating, out of the largest specialty contractors in the 11-state Midwest region, Ahern is ranked sixth, two spots up from last year.
