It wasn’t the first time Ahern was challenged with a quick project turnaround. Located in Mansfield, Louisiana, the Cleco Power Station project had a short time frame to complete fabrication and stress analysis testing—a first ever request for Ahern. Usually, an outsourced service coordinated through the general contractor, Ahern volunteered to handle the stress analysis logistics to save on project time. The prefabrication shop worked tirelessly for 2,452 hours to complete nearly 250 spools of 2” to 24” carbon steel pipe. Ahern achieved the strict schedule milestones and delivery dates set by the customer through weekly production meetings and close attention to progress and completed the project within three months of its start date.
