DuPont Pioneer, formerly Pioneer Hi-Bred, is the largest U.S. producer of hybrid seeds for agriculture. Ahern prefabricated and installed the fire protection and special hazards for this agriculture warehouse in Johnston, Iowa. To speed up the schedule, Ahern’s prefabrication shop was used to fabricate 631 sprinkler heads. There were no OSHA recordable incidents or lost-time injuries and there was no warranty rework necessary. The 87,630 square-foot facility was completed seamlessly and on-time.
