Ahern’s pipe fabrication team had a unique project in the Hess Newark Energy Center in Newark, New Jersey. Unlike the standard ¼” to 144” diameter piping, Ahern fabricated 388,115 pounds of stainless steel containment piping with all customer supplied materials. The project’s schedule was revised and Ahern’s quick response and accurate pipe fabrication helped the customer install the piping the first time without delay. Consistent and regular communication between Ahern and the customer helped meet the revised schedule deadline and expectations.
