Fire Protection Installation Services for Grocery Stores in Nebraska

About 200 miles from Ahern’s Omaha office, the team was tasked with installing two wet fire sprinkler systems throughout the new 90,000 square-foot grocery store. To ensure the project was completed on time, Ahern prefabricated 590 sprinkler heads in house and installed the piping prior to the concrete floor being poured. This accelerated the timeline for polishing the concrete for another contractor. To aid in Hy-Vee’s desire to pursue LEED certification, the team disposed of trash in appropriate dumpsters and ensured that chemical products (pipe dope, grease, etc.) met LEED criteria.
