Pipe Fabrication Services for Power Plants in Ohio

Ahern’s pipe fabrication knowledge and ability to meet deadlines were keys to the completion of a prefabrication job in Middletown, Ohio. The project consisted of 749 spools of carbon, chrome, and stainless steel piping equaling 127,580 pounds. The Fuel Gas piping portion of the project was required to be pre-fit up into a shop Gas Turbine simulated fixture to ensure bolt up installation at the jobsite. Ahern’s project team had to reverse engineer this fixture and build it to be used on all MHPSA Style “G” Unit Gas Turbine projects. Ahern was the first to engineer and fabricate this Fuel Gas fixture. Daily morning meetings along with weekly shop production meetings contributed to the on-time delivery and success of this project.
