The Seneca Plant complex expanded its capacity in Noble County, OH, and Ahern was called to fabricate 231 spools of heavy wall, carbon steel pipe. The piping was completed with 100% Hydro testing, post-weld heat treatment, 214 x-ray views, and a quick turnaround. Despite having the customer place some spools on-hold, Ahern’s team kept regular contact and communicated the updated schedule. This helped the customer adjust their timeline and workforce accordingly, and to their satisfaction. Totaling 10 load shipments, Ahern completed the project in alignment with the customer’s expectations.
