Previously a grocery store, the building that now houses the St. Vincent DePaul thrift store in Plymouth, WI needed significant retrofit work to meet the needs of its new owners. Ahern was up to the task, replacing the outdated rooftop HVAC unit with a new, 50-ton single zone VAV (variable air volume) model. The new unit easily services the 20,000 square foot facility and is equipped with a variable-frequency drive that adjusts the fan speed based on temperature -- greatly reducing energy output and related costs.
